On November 24, 2023, members of the “Metaversing” project from 11 different European countries gathered in Granada to celebrate the Multiplier Event of the project. The event took place at the Granada Chamber of Commerce and, in addition to marking the end of a year of work and collaboration, served to showcase the accomplishments of the year, discuss them with all partners, and suggest improvements for the coming year. Furthermore, activities planned for the year 2024 were presented. The celebration included a presentation by Umit Davranova, who focused on potential collaborations with the Government of Kazakhstan. Of notable importance was the participation of Ouafa Belgacem, the Civil Society project manager at the Anna Lindh Foundation headquarters in Alexandria, Egypt, who presented various initiatives undertaken by the organization. The occasion was a festive celebration, providing a meaningful conclusion to the collaborative efforts of the year. AIFED would like to express gratitude to all partners for the past year spent together and for the work accomplished. We hope to continue this collaboration in the year 2024!
The “Metaversing” Project is not just a project that aims to bring young people together in a virtual world to discuss important themes such as inclusion and equality. In fact, during this in-person meeting in Granada, an activity was also organized to get to know each other and explore the southern region of Spain. The members went on an excursion to the Caminito del Rey in the province of Malaga and stopped to have lunch in a characteristic town in the area, Ardales. These kinds of meetings strengthen cooperation among members and help to understand the different ways of working and the diverse cultures present in the project.
